Something I think people don’t talk about enough is how much body acne sucks when you’re trying to feel sexy. Nothing like a giant crater on your ass to really get you in the mood, right?

When I was in high school I had absolutely terrible acne. I remember trying to count the zits on my chest and giving up, it was that bad. Luckily, my hormones have chilled a little when it comes to my skin but that doesn’t mean I can count on clear skin all over my body without some intervention.

Here are the things I’ve found to be the most helpful for those giant zits that end up on your butt or back. Butt acne, be gone! Behold, my favorite butt acne treatment products. The best part is that most of these items are easily available AND not at all spendy.

Ultimate Butt Acne Treatment: St. Ives Apricot Scrub

Okay, yes, the scrub your Mom used (my Mom still swears by it). I think it’s fallen out of favor since it came out that it’s essentially like rubbing glass on your face but it’s still my absolute favorite for scrubbing the hell out of my butt cheeks. I love how smooth my skin feels after using it anywhere and have gotten to the point where I make my husband rub my boobs solely to feel how well the scrub worked. (He doesn’t mind.)

Butt Acne Runner Up: First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA

This is like a cement paste and hoo boy, does it feel like you’re doing something wrong using it. Or rather, it scrubs SO well that if you’re like me you think “there’s probably some long-term consequences from using this like I’ve sloughed off an entire layer of skin and will now forever be sensitive to strong breezes.” I’ve used it on the occasional underground mega-zit on my face with success though I really try to keep it for less sensitive skin.

Handmade Soap – I used to be a soap maker so I’m a bit of a soap snob and much prefer handmade to mass-produced. I love soaps that have really rough scrubbies like pumice or coffee grounds. If you’re looking for a good butt acne treatment soap, look for ones that are marketed towards gardeners or mechanics as they typically need heavy-duty scrubbies to get their hands clean.

Any butt acne treatment products you love that I need to try for getting a hot, zit-free body? Let me know!
